SMA NEGERI 2 KEDIRI

SMA Negeri 2 Kediri was founded in March 1st, 1950 as a branch of the previous State Senior High School in Kediri because there weren't any rooms and teachers. Teaching learning process was done in the afternoon.
Based on Surat Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan, Pengajaran dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia No. 3141/B in May 4th 1950, about opening a branch of SMA consisted of grade 1,2 and 3.
The purpose of this branch was to give opportunity for students who had already been members of Brigade XVII and mobilized students in Kediri who had qualifications to be students of SMA Negeri.
In August 1st 1960 SMA Negeri 2 became independent school, named SMA Negeri II/AC which was a branch of SMA Negeri in Kediri,
based on Surat Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan, Pengajaran dan Kebudajaan Republik Indonesia  26 November 1960 no : 361/SK/B.III
